Duntov tests CERV I at the brand new Daytona International Speedway in 1959. In November 1960, the car was rolled out for some demonstration laps at the U.S. Grand Prix held that year at Riverside, California. The car was tested there by Formula One drivers Jack Brabham and Stirling Moss, both of whom registered impressive times.
Later, the car was retrofitted with various superchargers, some of which produced over 500 hp. Some slight bodywork modifications were later made as well, which enabled Duntov to lap the five-mile long banked loop at the GM Milford, Michigan Proving Ground in excess of 206 mph.
